The 19th Defence Services Asia, DSA 2026, hosted, supported, and co-organised by the Ministry of Defence of Malaysia and Defence Services Asia Exhibition and Conference Sendirian Berhad is recognised as one of Asia's premier defence and homeland security exhibitions. Leading the delegation from the Ministry of Defence to the exhibition was Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Defence. The exhibition is being held at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre, MITEC, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Also joining the delegation were Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, RBAF; AND Mohd Aizul Hakim bin Pehin Orang Kaya Indera Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Haji Suyoi, Acting High Commissioner of Brunei Darussalam to Malaysia.
The 19th DSA features advanced technologies, systems, military hardware, and electronic warfare capabilities from leading global industry players. The opening ceremony of the exhibition was officiated by Yang Amat Berhormat Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia.
Held alongside NATSEC Asia 2026, the event brought together approximately one thousand 400 companies from 60 countries and attracted around 50 thousand trade visitors from 114 countries, as well as some 500 official delegations representing 40 countries.
The Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Defence also attended the 8th Putrajaya Forum, held on the sidelines of DSA 2026 and NATSEC Asia 2026. Under the theme 'ASEAN Security at the Edge of Emerging Technologies', the Forum is an international defence and security conference that brings together policymakers, defence and security agencies, think tanks, and academicians to discuss regional and international issues
The Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Defence had a bilateral meeting with Yang Berhormat Dato' Seri Mohamed Khaled bin Nordin, Minister of Defence of Malaysia, during which Yang Berhormat Pehin expressed appreciation for the successful organisation of the DSA 2026 and the NATSEC Asia 2026. Both sides reaffirmed the long-standing defence relations between Brunei Darussalam and Malaysia, exchanged views on bilateral and strategic matters of mutual interest, and underscored their continued commitment to further strengthening defence cooperation between the two countries.
